CHILL THE F*CK OUT

It’s Monday!  How ya feelin?  Are you feeling like “Woohoo!  It’s Monday”? Or are you feeling like “Ugh, it’s Monday”?  Today I woke up feeling like “UGH! It’s Monday!” I’m.So.Tired.....   I’m in the middle of tech rehearsals for the show I’m choreographing.  But I’m still running my coaching business, participating in two different training courses and I’m raising two kids……among other things.

 

Basically,  I’ve been burning the candle at both ends and it’s finally catching up to me.  How do I know? Well, first off, this morning I literally slept right through my alarm to get my kids to school.  YIKES! And today is my day to pick up Natalie and do the school carpool. If you live in Orange Co. you might have heard me screaming “OMG!!!!! Shit!  Shit! Shit!!!! Guys get up! We are late! I overslept and…. it’s our day to take Natalie!!!!” Get up, get up, get up!!!!! Noooooooow!!!!!!” #truestory. We made it on time, but it wasn’t pretty.

 

If you’re anything like me, stuff like that sometimes happens to you, too.  You say yes to all the things you love and then you realize, “Dang!!! Everything is happening all at the same time!”  LOL.

 

Oh did I mention my husband is out of town?!?  Yep.

 

Before you start to feel bad for me, please know I’m definitely living life on purpose and on MY terms.  Right now, though?! The balance is off.

 

So what am I going to do about it?  I’m giving myself permission to rest today.  I’m taking myself out to brunch. I’m going to eat slowly.  I’m going to bring my book to read. I’m going to meditate a little longer today.  I’m going to intentionally move at 5 mph instead of 65 mph. And I’m going to take a NAP!

 

So that’s it.  That’s my Monday Motivation.  Today I invite you to CHILL THE F*CK OUT!  Take a "Me Day," not a "Monday."  I’m saying this for me as much as for you. Take a deep breath.  Slow down. Eat yummy food. Fill your cup back up. And make today all about rest and recharging so that you are ready and rejuvenated to hit the ground running.  Take it from me, if you don’t, you WILL crash into burnout. (The last time I pushed myself and didn’t listen to my body I ended up burnt-out AF with pneumonia)
